What to look for in a local moving company

Compare hourly rates, not total estimates. Most reputable moving companies will take the same amount of time to perform your move.
Be sure to always consider the following regarding your local moving company:

  1. Reputation – reviews, licensing, insurance?
  2. Experience – can they get the job done?
  3. Safety – how safe are they on the job?
  4. Price – what’s most econimcal?

For labor only moves we recommend using Budget or Penske trucks for reliability and quality reasons. However, ask that they match U-Haul’s prices, that way you get the best of both worlds!
