2Brothers charges by the hour for local moving within the metro area of Portland. Hours are rounded to the nearest 15 minute increment.

Appointment Timing

We have both morning and afternoon appointments

available to better serve our customers.

Your moving crew will start your job by calling you as soon as they leave for your first location. The nature of moving makes it difficult to predict the exact arrival time of our crew. We will continually update you as needed to changes, however, our final arrival time is contingent upon the completion of our morning appointment. If you require an exact arrival time it’s very important to request a morning appointment. If you have an afternoon appointment and our morning appointment is running later than expected, please be patient, we will be there.

Our Equipment

(Safety & Efficiency)

Our trucks come stocked with all the equipment necessary to carry out your move in the most efficient and safe manner possible including: utility dollies, appliance dollies, piano dollies, carts, pads, plastic wrap, rubber bands, carrying straps, mirror pads, door protectors, floor protectors, furniture skates, cardboard, mattress bags, tape, and a basic tool kit. Hand trucks may not always be useful with several stairs or uneven terrain and what equipment we use for your move will be dependent on your needs. We will be using any and all means available to make your move as safe and efficient as possible.

Multiple Trips

If a second trip between your new and old home is necessary to safely transport all of your belongings without damage, we will let you know. You can make the call whether you’d like to have us finish the job or just take the largest items leaving smaller, more manageable items for you to handle yourself.

Flexibility

Unexpected circumstances arise from time to time that increase a job’s length beyond everyone’s expectations. We’ll do the best we can to accomplish the job in the time we estimated. I can assure you that we will be working as efficiently as possible.

Safety & Congestion

Your kids and pets are really cute! Little kids love us because we are really friendly and nice. But if they are at our feet when we are working, we may stumble and drop whatever it is we are carrying. This is a hazard to us and also to your kids and pets as well. If animals are safe in a bedroom or bathroom, and children are attended to, we’ll have a safe working environment. Let’s all work together to make this moving experience accident free. If you plan to have the cable/phone technician, painter, cleaner, contractor, and movers come all in on the same day our job will be more difficult and time consuming working around these obstacles.

When accidents happen

2Brothers Moving is a fully licensed and insured company. We carry insurance in excess of 2 million dollars to protect our customers and their property. In addition we have an outstanding safety record with less than a 3% claims ratio.

In the event however that an accident does happen it is important to understand the limitation of liability that our insurance has and what the claims process looks like. Limitation of liability in Oregon is the same as the federal standard of $0.60 per lb per article damaged for belongings.

It’s important to note that we, your mover, do not determine the limitations of liability – the insurance industry does.

We always recommend that customers purchase additional insurance!

We are an authorized carrier through MovingInsurance.com, but you can also ask your insurance agent about moving insurance options.

In order to file a claim you must email us at claims@2brothersmoving.net with the following: 1) what the item is (ie “desk), 2) what the damage is, 3) two pictures or more of the item, and if possible 4) a brief description of how the damage occurred (if you don’t know, that’s OK). Please keep in mind that in order to file a claim you will be required to have printed photos to send to claims. After have received the above you will be provided with the information necessary to make a claim.
