2 Brothers Moving is a fully licensed and insured company. We carry insurance in excess of 2 million dollars to protect our customers and their property. In addition, we have an outstanding safety record with less than a 3% claims ratio. In the event however that an accident does happen it is important to what additional insurance options are available.
Released Value Protection
The limitation of liability standard is $0.60 per lb per article damaged for belongings. It's important to note that we, your mover, do not determine the limitations of liability - the federal and state governments does. This means that when the released value protection is selected and an item is damaged, the most that can be claimed is $0.60 per lb. per article. For example if you have a stereo that weighs 10 lbs the claim amount would be $6.00.

Coverage beyond $0.60/lb is available to purchase. In order to purchase additional coverage you must declare a lump sum value equal or greater to the minimum. The lump sum value is the maximum you would be allowed to claim in the case of a catastrophic event.
Option 1
Replacement Cost Protection
Items are valued at their replacement or repair cost, whichever is less, for articles lost or damaged while in custody of the carrier. This option does NOT consider depreciation. For each $100.00, or fraction thereof, of declared value at $3.50 times the weight of the ship- ment in pounds or declared lump sum value, whichever is higher, the valuation charge shall be 85 cents per each $100.00 of value.
Option 2
Depreciated Cost Protection
Items are valued at their depreciated value or repair cost, whichever is less, for articles lost or damaged while in custody of the carrier. For each $100.00, or fraction thereof, of declared value at $1.25 times the weight of the shipment in pounds or declared lump sum value, which- ever is higher, the valuation charge shall be 50 cents per each $100.00 of value.

Filing A Claim
At 2 Brothers we are genuinely committed to making sure you are satisfied with us.
If something goes wrong during the move, such as damage, we're going to make it right. First, please be sure to completely inspect your items and mark any damage on the notes section of the paperwork. Depending on the Insurance Coverage you selected the movers may offer to reduce the bill in order to resolve it without going through the claims process. It's completely up to you whether you would prefer to handle it on-site or file a claim with the office. In order to file a claim with the office please contact us during business hours and we’ll promptly process the claim for you.
